Our Top Tips for Touring Saddlebrook Homes this Spring
Spring is around the corner, which means there’s no better time to get out and explore the possibilities of buying a new home in Knoxville! If you’re starting your search for a new home in Knoxville this spring, we hope you’ll take time to explore our many communities. To make the most of your home touring time, we’ve compiled our top tips to ensure a productive and enjoyable experience, whether you plan to build from the beginning or buy a quick move-in home already in construction.
Review floor plans in advance.
If you’re planning to build your next home, reviewing floor plans is the perfect place to begin. With 30+ floor plans, you have many options to choose from when building with Saddlebrook, so we recommend browsing our selection online to discover which options are best for you and your family. If you have your heart set on a specific Saddlebrook community, you can also head directly to the community page to see only floor plans that can be built in the community you prefer.
Reviewing floor plans in advance of touring in person makes it easier to contemplate your options for features such as screened-in porches, fireplaces, and extra rooms as you walk through each home. You may even want to print out the floor plans of the homes you plan to visit to easily take notes during tours.
Tour model homes and quick move-in homes.
When planning your home tours, make sure to visit our furnished models and any completed homes in the community. At our model homes, you can walk through a furnished home and get a feel for a floor plan with typical furniture and home decor in place. When touring homes for sale within the community, you can experience the open floor plan and envision adding your personal touch to a home.
Most of our communities host regularly scheduled open houses each weekend where you can stop by our model homes at your leisure and speak to a Saddlebrook Realty agent. Our agents can provide you access to the available homes in the community, so you can explore as many homes as possible during your visit. If you prefer a private appointment, our agents are happy to arrange that with you, so don’t hesitate to reach out and let them know you are interested in a Saddlebrook home!
Give yourself time to explore the details.
As you tour homes, take note of the finishes and features that catch your eye. Snap pictures of design details you love such as countertops, tiling, flooring, paint colors, hardware, light fixtures and anything else you want to remember. If you’re planning to build your home, noting these features now can help you prepare for your home design appointment at our studio. By identifying the design details you love, you can better prioritize your preferences and narrow down your choices when creating your home.
Don’t limit your exploration to just the house.
Take a drive through the community and notice the different exterior designs and styles. We offer many elevation options, and many of our communities feature a beautiful mix of farmhouse, European, and traditional exterior designs. Take note of the styles and colors you like! As you explore the community, make sure to stop by any amenities such as pools and playgrounds. Communities in the early stages of development may not have a completed amenities area, but you can see the location of future amenities by looking at the community plat map or by looking for signage within the community. By experiencing the community atmosphere, you can gain a better understanding of what feels like home to you.
Ask any question that comes to mind.
Remember, our Saddlebrook Realty agents are here to help! Ask any questions you have during open house visits and private appointments. Our knowledgeable agents can provide you with valuable insights about the property, neighborhood amenities, local schools, and more. Don’t be shy – your questions will help you make an informed decision and ensure that all your concerns are addressed.
Explore nearby community features.
To truly get a feel for life in the area, explore the local area near our communities. Take a stroll through nearby parks, such as the beautiful McFee Park near Meadows on McFee and The Grove. Experience neighborhood charm by walking the boulevard at Brookmere or the greenways that connect to the community. Stop by a local coffee shop, like Sunago near Vining Mill and Ironwood or KBrew near Westland Station, or grab a meal at one of the walkable restaurants in Northshore Town Center. Exploring the local area allows you to envision your day-to-day life and determine if it aligns with your goals.
Now that you have these valuable tips in hand, it’s time to check out the open house schedule and start planning your Saddlebrook home tours today! Remember, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. Feel free to reach out for any assistance or further information. Happy home touring!
